About BuildBids

BuildBids is a marketplace concept for a clearer home improvement process. Homeowners post a structured project, builders submit competing quotes, and the homeowner compares price, timing, and notes before making a decision.

The idea began with a simple problem: homeowners should not need to cold-call contractors or have their details resold as a shared lead, and good builders should be able to compete on a real scope of work rather than chase incomplete inquiries.

A working React prototype now demonstrates the complete loop with live shared data: post a job, browse it as a builder, submit a quote, then accept or decline it as the homeowner. The next steps are authentication, license and insurance verification, accepted-builder messaging, and a focused launch in one city.
